SUBSTANCE: cast iron has the following composition wt. -% : carbon 2.9-3.5; silicon 1.7-2.7; manganese 0.3-0.8; chrome 3.5-4.2; nickel 1.0-1.5; vanadium 0.1-0.5; nitrogen 0.07-0.09; titanium 0.02- 0.15; rare-earth metals 0.025-0.035; antimony 0.005-0.1; niobium 1.3-2.0; boron 0.05-0.15, and iron - the rest. Cast iron is used in machine engineering. Positive effect: enhanced quality of cast iron ingot. EFFECT: enhanced mechanical properties of cast iron. 1 tbl
