FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: cast iron containing carbon, silicon, manganese, chrome, nickel, copper, vanadium, rare-earth elements, phosphorus, nitrogen, iron has additionally tungsten and zirconium at the following ratio of components, wt. -% : carbon 2.7-3.6; silicon 0.3-0.8; manganese 1.3-1.8; chrome 16-24; nickel 1-2; copper 0.8-1.2; vanadium 0.5-0.7; rare- earth elements 0.01-0.1; phosphorus 0.08-0.12; nitrogen 0.01-0.015; tungsten 0.2-0.3; zirconium 0.15-0.25, and iron - the rest. Cast iron is used in machine engineering. EFFECT: enhanced safety of constructions and articles made of cast iron proposed. 1 tbl
