METHOD OF PRODUCING HYDROPHOBIC FINE-GRAINED MIXTURE FOR HIGHWAY COVERING Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: production of fine-grained mixtures. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing and grinding origin components, the latter process is carried out till particle's size is mainly less 0.2 μm (preferable is size of 0.1 mm). Hydrophilic mixture of sodium chloride (as residual salt of glycerin production) and mineral sand and/or lava flour and hydrophobic mixture are used as origin components. Carbon black, calcined perlite, and ground hard foamed polyurethane are used as hydrophobic mixture; quantity of sodium chloride in mentioned above fine-grained mixture is more 50% . Additive of salt, or oxide or hydroxide of alkali-earth or of unalkali metals in wet condition is added into said mixture. Salt or oxide or hydroxide of Fe, Zn, Al or Ca or calcium sulfate as gypsum which is produced in device of desulfuration of gasses is used as said additive. This additive is ground together with residual salt of glycerin production, their mixture may be dried before or during their cooperative grinding. Lava flour or mineral sand may be added into said mixture. Proposed mixture contains, mass % : mixture of residual salt of glycerin production (its quantity being 80-85 mass % ) and gypsum flue gases (it quantity being 15-20 mass % ) 80; ground hard foamed polyurethane 10, lava flour 10. Composition of proposed mixture also may be so: above mentioned mixture 80 mass % , ground hard foamed polyurethane 10 mass % , lava flour 6 mass % . EFFECT: lows the price of mixture. 9 cl
