FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: steam generator water level gage gas surge tank with permanent-level chamber, upper and lower branch pipes connected, respectively, steam and water spaces of steam generator. Level gage also has differential pressure gage with negative- and positive-pulse lines, outlet branch pipe of the latter being connected to bottom part of permanent-level chamber. Surge tank is mounted above rated water level in steam generator. Outlet branch pipe of negative-pulse line is connected to water space. Distance between center lines of branch pipes is 5 or 6 times larger than difference in distances between rated level of water to center line of the branch pipe and center line of other branch pipe to permanent-level chamber overflow edge.
