PROVING STAND FOR FATIGUE STRENGTH TESTING OF PIECE WITH THROUGH HOLE IN MIDDLE PART Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering, measurement technology for rolling stock testing. SUBSTANCE: as object for testing operation four-axes truck thrust mechanism of diesel locomotive can be chosen and for this purpose it is installing on pins 3 of supporting bed 2 by ends openings and by middle part it is fitting at ball-bearing pivot 5. Tow-bars clips are fixing at post stops and side surface of piece under testing. Vibration exciter is fastening by studs using under at piece surface under pivot unit. Strain gauges are fitting at piece surface too. After pump putting to operation working liquid are going to power cylinders 21 through electrically controlled sliding valve to power cylinders bars 22 reversed motion and alternative loading generation by synchronous operating of power cylinders 21. Electric driver of vibration exciter is putting to operation simultaneously with power cylinders. Cylinders bars 22 action is translated to piece under testing by tab 23 and pin 3, but transverse loading is created by another cylinder 11 while piece under testing is retaining in setting on position by stops and tow-bars. Under vibration exciter action piece moves alternatively in vertical plane. Vibration pickups signals are recording by oscilloscope. Ball-type connection of transverse loading mechanism and ball-type junction of pivot 5 provide steady-state directions keeping for transverse and longitudinal forces.
