FIELD: electric engineering. SUBSTANCE: converter has power transistor 1 and load made in form of power transformer 4. Current control of power transistor 1 is provided by means of two current transformers 3 and 11, in this case required mating is performed for switch currents with parameters of turning on and turning off transistors. Power transistor is controlled by control circuit 15, which has output stages made on the base of CMOS elements of logic integral circuits with open discharge, that results to practical exclusion of current consumption from control circuit 15 for controlling turning on and turning off transistors. When transistor 8 is open, current of secondary winding 7 of the transformer 3 is applied to secondary winding 10 of the same transformer and then to the base of power transistor 1 through primary winding of current transformer 11. During period of dispersal, current of winding 7 is passed to winding 12 of transformer 11 through open turning-off transistor and then-in cut-off direction - to base of transistor 1, that results to proportionality of cut-off current to collector current and forced blanking of the transistor.
