FIELD: oil-and-gas production industry. SUBSTANCE: well is filled with water up to well head. Well operation duty is changed. Gate valves on well annulus and tubing spaces are shut off. Bottom hole pressure is monitored by means of recording, time variations, of wellhead rarefaction until steady-state condition is reached. EFFECT: reliability of evaluating filtration characteristics of both formation and bottom-hole adjacent zone increased, specifically if formation pressure is lower than hydrostatic head. 1 tbl, 3 dwg
