FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: pressure and drain lines are connected to inlets of a three-position four-line distributor with a closed center. Rod and piston ends of the hydraulic feed cylinder of a saw chain are in communication with distributor outlets by hydraulic lines. The hydraulic motor of the saw chain is directly mounted in the hydraulic lines in parallel to the hydraulic cylinder and is directly connected to the rod end by its inlet, and to the piston end - by its outlet through a throttle. In one of the rear positions of the distributor the pressure line communicates with the rod cavity, and the drain line - with the piston end. In the other rear position of the distributor the pressure line communicates with the rod end, and the drain line - with the piston end through a throttle built in the distributor.
