FIELD: biology and medicine. SUBSTANCE: device has an irradiator assembled from several identical modules each of which is composed of a reflector, a light source disposed in the reflector focus; electromechanical drive for the irradiator, a control system and screened cabin. Therapeutic effect is achieved by irradiating patient's body portions by a pulsed periodic light beam in a visible and infra-red ranges of variable intensity. Arc metal halide lamps with a predetermined filler are used as light sources so as to control an intensity and spectral content of radiation, the lamps being easy removable. The device furthermore has a set of light sources having different radiation spectra the number and types of which a doctor chooses with regard to the disease. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and widened application range. 2 cl, 2 dwg
