SUBSTANCE: machining of holes by mandrelling with self-propelled tool having at least three deforming members, which act on the workpiece in succession in axial and radial directions. The direction of work is changed successively so that the members acting on the workpiece in axial direction at any moment of time would be based on members acting on said workpiece in radial direction and the time of action is found from expressions , where tax and trad - respectively: time of axial and radial action of each deforming member of self-propelled tool; n≥ 3 3 - whole positive number which is divisible by the number of deforming members; T - period of action equal to tool working cycle. Description contains design dependence for determining relation of amplitudes of action applied to workpiece by each deforming member in radial and axial directions. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 dwg
