FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: fibre web is delivered by a transporter to a dividing unit with its straps placed on doffers and arranged in pairs on guiding doffers. Web slivers leaving the operating surfaces of the straps are fed to staggered hollow spindles positioned horizontally on two levels so as to twist with the thread descending from the package arranged on each spindle and to make a twist yarn which is reeled on discharge packages. Each subsequent pair of straps, disposed along the doffers from their faces to centers has its operating surfaces set in a spaced relation to those of the preceding pair, positioned on the doffers radius. The pairs have a spacing which is four-fold larger than the width of each strap. On each level the spindle axles are located transversely to the straight line arranged to cross even or old straps of the two adjacent pairs in their cross-sectional plane.
