COMBING-TWISTING-WINDING UNIT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: textile industry, in particular, cotton production. SUBSTANCE: unit has combing machine, dividing device with belts positioned on doffers and guiding rolls. The more belts are spaced from edges to central part of dividing device, the greater is the length of belts. Belts define movable horizontal surface made in the form of equilateral triangle with sides defined by rows of individual belt-guiding discharge rolls joined to spindles arranged in parallel with rolls. Doffers are arranged one above the other in vertical plane. Belts with divided combed slivers are movable in direction away from dividing device and combing machine, running about guiding rolls and passing out onto common horizontal surface. Individual guiding rolls for belts of upper doffer are positioned tangentially to lower side of horizontal surface, and individual guiding rolls for belts of lower doffer are positioned above horizontal surface and intersect belt path. Combing-twisting-winding unit is adequate in size to cotton producing equipment, but requires less production and maintenance costs.
