FIELD: control of fires in gobs. SUBSTANCE: gob is first heated by simultaneous supply and pumping out of steam with periodical checking of air leakage through gob. After leakage decrease, the heated region of gob is cooled by supply and concurrent evacuation of gaseous nitrogen. Supply and evacuation of steam are discontinued after decrease of air leakage through gob comes to end. Temperature of supplied nitrogen is reduced as temperature of evacuated gas from gob drops. Nitrogen supply is stopped after temperature of evacuated gas is reduced to ambient temperature of gob space. For supply may be used gas evacuated from gob and preliminarily cooled by spraying liquid nitrogen in it. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 1 dwg
