FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has tank filled with water, vapor pressure damper, vapor generator with heat exchanger connected with the tank through inlet branch pipe line, with intake manifold through branch outlet pipe, space of air filter through an additional branch pipe, and valve mounted in the inlet branch pipe. The outlet and additional branch pipes, outlet ends of which are provided with air- operated valves, pass through electric heaters. The pressure damper is made of a receiver mounted for heat contacting with exhaust manifold and connected between the heat exchanger and outlet branch pipe. The additional branch pipe is in communication with the outlet branch pipe between the vapor pressure damper and the space of the air filter. A coil is mounted in the exhaust manifold. A control unit provides automatic regime of operation of the apparatus. The unit has electromagnet relay, diode, controlled resistor, capacitor, and temperature pickup mounted in the vapor pressure damper. The input of the control unit is connected to the temperate pickup and output with electromagnet drive of the valve whose operation is controlled by a lamp mounted within a cabin of a vehicle.
