FIELD: light armor vests. SUBSTANCE: the device uses an armor shield, protective shield in the form of a multilayer pack of ballistic cloth, and a shock-absorbing lining; the shock-absorbing lining is made as a multilayer pack of ballistic cloth impregnated with synthetic resin; the lining layers are superimposed on one another and fastened on one side for movement of each layer in the plane perpendicular to the pack plane. The protective shield has at least 14 layers, and the shock-absorbing lining has at least one layer more than the protective shield. EFFECT: considerably decreased thickness and weight of the protective device as compared with the known analogs. 6 cl, 2 dwg
