FIELD: aids of individual protection against firearms and side arms. SUBSTANCE: armour jacket includes base module made from 12-36 layers of high-modulus fabric and composed of front lap and back each having two pockets for armour plates arranged one above other in area of vitally important organs. Base module is equipped with fastening means and means to fit it to figure produced in the form of vorsalane fasteners located in area of shoulders and waist. Armour plates, 1.0-12.0 mm thick, are manufactured in the form of stamped articles of pentagonal shape with surface area of 13.0-18.0 sq. dm. Armour plates can have shape providing close fitting to body and be made from material chosen from group: armour steel, ceramics, composite material or of their layers. Base module is fitted with outer coat on which there are made shock-absorbing supports 5.0-10.0 mm thick rubber, felt. Outer coat can be fabricated from cotton and water-repelling fabric. Pockets for armour plates can be fitted with antifragment layers composed of corrugated cloth and fixed with vorsalane fasteners.
