GLASS-REINFORCED PLASTIC Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

Abstract RU 2015926 C1

FIELD: glass-reinforced plastics. SUBSTANCE: glass-reinforced plastic contains alternating layers of prepregs of two compositions: one layer contains 3-6 mas.part. of peroxide or hydroperoxide initiators and 0.5-1.5 mas. part. of aerosil per 100 mas.part. of unsaturated polyester resin. Adjacent layer contains 8-16 mas.part. of cobalt styrene naphthalate, 2.5-3.5 mas. part. of aerosil 0.05-0.1 mas.part. of ferrous chloride, and 0.05-0.15 mas. part. of thiourea per 100 mas.part. of unsaturated polyester resin. Binding agent in glass-reinforced plastic amounts to 32-45 mas.%. Used as unsaturated polyester resin is solution of polyethylene glycol maleat phthalate in triethylene glycol dimethacrylate characterized by relative viscosity according to VZ-1 of 15-40 s. and gelling rate of 20-600 min. Glass reinforced plastic of eight alternating layers, the first of which has 3 mas.part. of hydroperoxide of isopropylbenzene (hyrerisa) and 0.5 mas.part. of aerosil per 100 mas. part. of unsaturated polyester resin, and adjacent layer has 8 mas. part. of styrene solution of cobalt naphthenate NK-2.5, 0.05 mas.part. of ferrous chloride, 0.15 mas.part. of thiourea and 2.5 mas.part. of aerosil per 100 mas. part. of unsaturated polyester resin. This glass-reinforced plastic features 1.25% of pores, bending strength of 500 MPa and tensile strength of 510 MPa. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 3 tbl
