FIELD: dredges. SUBSTANCE: in case working hermetically sealed capacities of dredge pipeline link are covered with significant layer of ice, the link is disconnected from the pipeline, drawn aside in the water area and locking mechanisms of branch pipes opened. Water through lower branch pipes enters cavities of the capacities and filled them. Air through the upper branch pipes goes out into atmosphere from the cavities. Water flow is arranged in the cavities. Warm near bottom water through branch pipes of the sunk capacities, as more dense water (its temperature in winter is near plus 4 C), entering cavities of the capacities gives warm to walls of the capacities, and became less dense through branch pipes goes out into the water area. Ice on warm walls begins to thaw and heated by "warm" water ice coating becomes less firm. Compressed air is fed into the capacities through branch pipes and pushes the water out through other branch pipes. The link comes to the surface. Locking mechanisms are closed. Soft ice coating is easily shorn off. The link is ready for further exploitation in winter time. EFFECT: method is used in suction dredges winter operation. 3 dwg
