METHOD OF MINING AND HYDRAULIC TRANSPORTATION OF SOIL BY HYDRAULIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM OF SUCTION-TUBE DREDGER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: dredging operations. SUBSTANCE: suction-tube dredger includes bull 1 in the form of catamaran with submersible suction dredge 4 installed between units 2 and 3 of the hull provided with suction pipe-line 5 and floating pipe-line 6. Unit 3 carries bilge soil pump 7 with suction pipe 8 and floating pipe-lines 9. Two main pipe-lines are laid o plates on shore: 11 of standard diameter and 10 of enlarged diameter. Floating pipe-line 6 is coupled only to main pipe-line 10 with branch-pipe 15. Floating pipe-line 9 of bilge pump 7 is coupled with branch pipe 16 to main pipe 10 and with branch pipe 17 - to pipe-line 11 with capability to change over flows of slurry either into pipe-line 10 or into pipe-line 11. Pumps 4 and 7 are provided with connection pipe 14 for their successive coupling to system of pipe-lines. Proposed design ensures capability of connection of suction dredges to system of pipe-lines for passing of slurry by routes: from suction pipe into pump 4, then into connection pipe 14, out of it into pump 7, then into floating pipe- line 9, over branch pipe 14 into main pipe-line 11 of standard diameter and from suction pipe 5 into pump 4, out of it into floating pipe-line 6, through branch pipe 15 into main pipe-line 10; from suction pipe 8 into pump 7, then into floating pipe-line 9, through branch pipe 16 into main pipe-line 10. In first case pumps are connected in system of pipe-lines in series, in second case they are connected in parallel. EFFECT: expanded operational capabilities, enhanced reliability. 2 cl, 4 dwg
