FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: polygonal flat expander with drain openings is received in a groove of a piston wherein through openings, which fall upon inner surface of the piston, are provided. Means for changing deformation of the expander depending on piston stroke is made of rods mounted for moving within the openings provided in the groove of the piston, falls outside its inner surface and is in contact with two sides of the expander which are diametrically opposite and perpendicular to plane of rocking of a connecting rod by its one end and with single-arm spring levers, which are secured to opposite sides of inner surface of the piston in plane of rocking of the connecting rod, by its other and engages with two cams. The cams is mounted on the upper head of the connecting rod oppositely to each other in one plane passing through center of rocking at an angle to lateral plane of cross-section.
