FIELD: metallurgical equipment. SUBSTANCE: furnace has shaft formed by tuyere girdle caisson and caisson of girdle above tuyere. Caissons are connected in section on frames. Furnace is further provided with tuyeres, carcass, dome, hearth with supporting plates provided with receptacles for attaching frames and bottom plate. Supporting plates are provided with additional receptacles for fastening sections, which may be moved in horizontal plane by means of mechanisms mounted between frames and carcass. Space between main and additional receptacles is at least 0.03 of nominal width of shaft cross-section proximate to tuyere. EFFECT: wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 dwg
