FIELD: non- ferrous metallurgy; furnaces for melting sulfide materials in molten-metal pool. SUBSTANCE: furnace includes shaft divided by double partition made from horizontal cooled tubes interconnected by means of cooling agent supply pipes, jacketed belt with tuyeres, matte and slag discharge siphons. Double partition is made with lateral shift of tubes at each horizontal level relative to lower and upper adjoining rows. Shift is equal to 1/10:1/2 of outer diameter of cooling tube (or its outer transverse thickness). Alternating horizontal rows are parallel in vertical direction. Besides that, cooling agent supply pipes connect cooling tube of each lower row with tube of adjoining upper row located on opposite side of partition. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 4 dwg, 1 tbl
