FIELD: test technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: fixing a shock-proof article to be tested to a vibration testing machine table without shock absorbers and subjecting it to the action of harmonic vibration along three directions orthogonal to each other at first natural frequency corresponding to each direction of the rigidly fixed article, determining a vibration acceleration amplitude from calculated spectrum of the shock-proof article in response to a simulated seismic action. The method is characterized in that a minimum time of vibration action along each direction is prescribed according to the expression given in the invention description taking into account a logarithmic decrement if oscillations and first natural frequency of the rigidly fixed article along the i-th axis.
