FIELD: test technology. SUBSTANCE: device for friction testing of two specimens has a bed, a base with mechanism for varying and maintaining an angle of inclination of the base relative to the bed. The base is mounted on the bed and adapted for placing specimens to be tested. The device furthermore has an electric system for measuring and indicating an inclination angle of the base relative to the bed including two permanent magnets and two sealed-contact reed relays interacting with the magnets, at least two light-emitting diodes in a power supply circuit of which a respective sealed-contact reed relay is connected. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and sensitivity in determining a friction factor of two specimens due to more precise determination of an inclination angle of these specimens at the moment of beginning of slippage of one specimen over the surface of the other. 1 dwg
