FIELD: materials testing. SUBSTANCE: angle of inclination of two specimens positioned one on top the other is measured relative to horizontal plane at moment one specimen starts sliding with respect to the other. This moment is determined by change in electric state of magnetically controlled sensing element, for example, sealed-contact reed relay, which is caused by action of magnetic filed of permanent magnet secured on one of specimens. In this case, sealed-contact reed relay is attached to the other specimen. If one of specimens represents bulk material it is placed in box and glued to box bottom.
