FIELD: educational aids for physics and theoretical mechanics. SUBSTANCE: device for demonstrating action of Coriolis force of inertia has a base, a vertical strut, movable weights, chutes for the weights, a carriage, a guide with a stopper, a sleeve, counterweight, a flange of the guide, axles of a sleeve, fixing member for the flange, dials of the chutes, dynamometric pointers in the form of flexible plates on beads of the chutes, a spring of the carriage with the sleeve and a stopper, mounted in a casing, a lever for keeping the carriage, pinions for cam rotation, limiting plates of the weights. Before the demonstration the carriage with the weights is being fixed by the lever, the weights are being retained by the plates, the spring is compressed by the sleeve. Then the guide is being imparted by manual fashion to an angular velocity relative to the axis of the vertical strut. Upon lifting the lever by the cam, the carriage with the weights is being released, and it begins to move on the guide. The plates rotate, providing a possibility for the weights to be moved along the chutes by an action of angular acceleration.
