APPARATUS TO TEST HERMETIC SEALING OF PIPES IN HEAT-EXCHANGERS PIPE GRATINGS Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: to test pipes, located in corners of a pipe grating, a centering screw 3 is loosened and piece 2 is turned relatively to piece 1. A sealing member 8 is mounted on pipe grating 7 near tested pipe 6 and flexible bushes 9 are installed in cavities of pipes 12. Working medium is fed into under piston cavities of hydraulic cylinders 4 and 5. During the process flexible bushes 9 are contracted by stops 11, being pressed to inner surfaces of pipes 12 and fixing members in the pipes. Pieces 1 and 2 are contracting sealing member 8. Then testing medium is fed into pipe 6 and hermetic sealing of pipe 6 is defined. EFFECT: apparatus is used for hermetic sealing test of pipes of heat-exchangers. 4 dwg
