FIELD: educational means. SUBSTANCE: device has base, vertical axis, frame, mounted onto the axis, statically balanced rod, provided with weights. The rod is mounted onto the frame by means of half-axes and has internal sliding part, the gyroscope rotor is mounted onto the end of the sliding part by means of a bearing. When showing law of conservation of momentum, the frame is brought into rotation about vertical axis, and then simultaneously with frame the rotation is brought to the rod about half-axes. In this case distance between the weights and vertical axis of rotation changes, that result to achieving variable moment of inertia of the whole system relatively the vertical axis. After the rotor is driven up to speed, the origin of gyroscopic momentum is shown at frame turn. After that the internal part of the rod is pulled out, and precession of heavy gyroscope is shown.
