FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device for regulation of alternating voltage has input choke with main winding 1 and auxiliary winding 2, capacitor 3 and regulating nonlinear A.C. element 4. Regulating nonlinear element 4 is manufactured in the form of two thyristors 11, 12 connected in opposition with phase-pulse control unit 13. Auxiliary inductance coils 16, 17 are placed into power circuits of thyristors 11, 12. Auxiliary winding 2 form together with regulating nonlinear element 4 series circuit which is connected in parallel to 14, 15 leads for connection of load and capacitor 3.
