FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: essence of this method consists in carrying out artificial hyperventilation at patient's blood carbon dioxide content of 5 to 10 mm Hg with providing deepened perfusionless hyperthermic protection prior to switching off heart from blood circulation. EFFECT: disclosed method permits preventing hypercapnia by end of prolonged occlusion of great vessels.
