STRAIGHTENING DRUM Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: wire straightening devices. SUBSTANCE: straightening drum has housing 1 made in the form of body of rotation with radial holes 2, straightening bushings 3 in slides 4,5,6 and double-arm levers 7 pivotally secured on housing. Means for displacement of central slide is made in the form of adjustment screw 8 mounted on threaded bushing 9 screwed into housing. One side of each of side slides 4 and 6 is provided with lateral holes 12 and its other side has projection 13 protruding in direction opposite to drum axle 14. Opening 15 made in this projection accommodates screw 16 intended for retaining straightening bushing while spring 10 is located on projection. Hole 17 made in middle slide accommodates additional screw 18 intended for retaining middle straightening bushing 3 in slide 5. Double-arm levers 7 are mounted on additional slides 19 movably mounted in housing. EFFECT: improved reliability and quality of wire straightening. 1 dwg
