FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention makes it possible to conduct afterdischarge of storage batteries in process of their testing and use. It may find use in independent electric power supply systems. Device includes two storage batteries consisting of n cells connected in series, output terminals in accordance with number of cells, 2n transistor keys in which base and collector circuits windings of proper transformers are connected, three transformers, one rectifier, three change-over switches, alternating voltage generator and ballast resistor. Transformer windings are used as afterdischarge resistors. Energy of afterdischarge battery can be used either for charging of the other storage battery or can be dissipated across ballast resistor.
