FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: aqueous suspension containing aqueous suspension of starch (its quantity being 3.81-5.02 mass %) and potassium permanganate (its quantity being 0.0014-0.0022 mass %) is heated to sizing temperature. Then 0.018-0.033 mass % of hydrogen chloride acid is added and heating at boiling within 20-30 min is carried out. The process is followed by adding carboxymethylcellulose (its quantity being 0.131-0.381 mass %) and preparation on the base of sodium alkylsulfonates mixture (its quantity being 0.08 mass %) and by boiling within 30-40 min. Above mentioned alkylsulfonates contain 11-17 carbon atoms. Thus prepared size has: degree of starch decomposition 92.6-96.3%, relative viscosity 1.63- 1.80.
