FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: method and device are used for microwave heating of various food products held in open containers or radio-transparent packs moved through a tunnel chamber and exposed to microwave radiation. In order to heat the foodstuffs characterized by a different heat absorption, the temperature for each kind of product is determined by temperature transmitters and, depending on product location in the chamber and other product parameters, the intensity of microwave radiation is determined by the computer and adjusted so as to bring each kind of product to the preset temperature.
