FIELD: coating industry. SUBSTANCE: titanium white composition contains titanium dioxide treated with amine salt solution and at least one metal hydroxide selected from the group consisting of aluminum hydroxide, silicon hydroxide and titanium hydroxide. As the amine salt, titanium white contains at least one amine salt of polyprotic acid selected from the group of aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic di- or tricarboxylic acids, preferably saturated strain-chain 2-3 carboxylic acid or boric acid ( pKAl> 2.5, water- soluble at 20 C) in the amount not less than 2 % by weight on pigment basis and salt of alkanolamine ( pKBI> 4.4 > 4.4) selected from the group of mono-, di- or triethanolamine, aminoethylethanolamine, ethyldiethanolamine, phenylethanolamine, mono- di- or triisopropanolamine, di-(2-ethylhexyl)ethanolamine in an amount of 0.01-3.0 % by weight on pigment basis , with pH of amine salt solution being 6-8. Amine salt is used in an amount of 0.1-3.0 % by weight on pigment basis. Metal hydroxide is used in an amount of 0.5-10 % by weight on pigment basis. EFFECT: improved quality. 1 tbl
