FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: electric hammer has stator with windings of forward and reverse strokes, armature-striker located inside windings, and position pickups of armature-striker. Additionally electric hammer is provided with loading unit of counteracting force of armature-striker. Loading unit is comprised of magnetic circuit with winding and installed on stator for interaction with armature-striker in position of magnetic equilibrium and connected with control unit. Armature-striker is controlled by circuit including capacitor and thyristors whose cathodes are connected with position pickups through diodes. Starting is initiated by pressing button.
