FIELD: coal mining. SUBSTANCE: development working is driven by heading machine. Provided in face is relief zone. During coal extraction, air dust content is measured within relief zone by means of transducer, and its average value is determined. When face advance beyond zone of relief, air dust content is monitored in course of coal extraction. Presence of outburst-prone zone is determined under conditions of П2 ≥ 1.5 П1, П1, where П2 is average value of dust content in air within relief zone; mg/cm3 is dust content in air beyond the relief zone, mg/cu.cm. EFFECT: higher reliability and confidence in detection of outburst-prone zones in coal seam. 1 dwg
