FIELD: gas analysis equipment. SUBSTANCE: an electrochemical cell is being polarized by a voltage, representing a sum of a direct-current voltage and a high-frequency voltage, modulated by a low frequency voltage. An operator, removed from the gas analyzer, receives a signal, concerning the efficiency of the cell by broadcasting and evaluates it according to a distortion of correlation between a direct- current component and alternative - current component of a signal of the cell upon modulation frequency. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of testing. 1 cl, 2 dwg
