FIELD: radiolocation. SUBSTANCE: target is irradiated by frequency-modulated signal. Signal is modulated by signal with continuously changing frequency according to step-saw-tooth law by preset value of jump for a step. Duration of the step is such one to provide measurement of phase onto it. Distance is determined from values of the phase and phase jumps from step to step. In this case height fall-through is excluded, which occurs when frequency modulation is used with high frequency of modulation. EFFECT: improved precision of measurement. 1 dwg
