FIELD: radiolocation. SUBSTANCE: technical result of invention lies in development of procedure measuring range to several targets by radar with medium pulse repetition rate when extent of blind zone in range is not known in advance and range is measured to several targets. Proposed procedure is based on emission of pulses with line frequency by carrier modulation, on reception of this signal, on detection of signals reflected by targets by multichannel receiver with line frequency heterodyne by time of delay and Doppler frequency, on measurement and storage of ambiguous time of delay and Doppler frequency in channels where these targets were detected, on repetition of these operations with same value of pulse repetition rate and same line frequency modulation of carrier frequency first with one sign of increment of slope of emitted line frequency modulation signal and then with opposite sign of increment of slope of emitted line frequency modulation signal. Values of increments of slopes of emitted line frequency modulation signals are so set that summary change of Doppler frequency of received signals during repeat measurements does not exceed pulse repetition rate with line frequency modulation of carrier frequency exclusive of extent of blind zone by Doppler frequency even for target located at maximum range for which given radar is designed. Then value of increments of Doppler frequency of received signal caused by change of slope of received line frequency modulation signal is used to compute unambiguous, but coarse, ranges by certain formula. Later precise range to each detected target is computed on basis of obtained data. EFFECT: improved precision of procedure. 24 dwg
