FIELD: aerial equipment. SUBSTANCE: spiral radiator has cylindrical spiral, case in the form of cylindrical sleeve mounted coaxially to it, excitation unit and tuning element. Excitation unit is manufactured in the form of section of central conductor coupled with one end to resistance transformer and exciter of cylindrical spiral installed uniaxially to cylindrical spiral. Tuning element is fabricated in the form of radial and arc-shaped elements connected in series which are conductively coupled to spring ring with the aid of contact element. Tuning element is located in plane orthogonal to axis of cylindrical spiral. Groove is made in inner side surface of case in which spring ring is arranged. Free end of radial element is linked to resistance transformer. Section of round waveguide mounted for longitudinal translation is put coaxially to cylindrical spiral.
