FIELD: refinement of minerals. SUBSTANCE: apparatus incorporates outer cone 1, inner cone 2 having perforations in the form of narrow annular slits 3, grate 4 located on internal surface of cone 2, feed pipe 5 disposed in alignment with apparatus axis, and pipe 6 employed to supply water to intercone space and communicating with cone 1. Base of outer cone 1 is secured in position by flexible diaphragm 10. Outer cone 1 is enabled to reciprocate by drive 11 and inner cone 2 is enabled to execute rotary motion by drive 12. Centrifugal force presses material undergoing separation against internal surface of cone 2 and water loosens material. Heavy particles of material pass through slits 3 and then are discharged through heavy fraction discharging device 8. Light particles are forced upwards and discharged via light fraction discharging device 9. EFFECT: Vibration of outer cone 1 allows higher efficiency of apparatus without diminishing friability of material under separation. 3 cl, 1 dwg
