FIELD: electrolytic extraction of metals from solutions. SUBSTANCE: electrolyzer has casing, circulation chambers, electrode chambers, bipolar-connected anodes and cathodes positioned alternatively and in parallel one with the other in slots of electrode chamber. Circulation chambers are positioned between transverse walls disposed below upper edges of casing walls. Circulation chambers have lower part formed as hopper with cathode precipitant discharge unit. Electrode chambers are formed as hollow rectangular prisms mounted in circulation chambers so that channel-shaped space is defined. Channel communicates upper part of previous electrode chamber with lower part of subsequent circulation chamber downstream of solution flow. Anodes and cathodes are formed as blocks of vertical plates assembled in the form of ridges positioned in spaces between them in parallel with casing walls. Anodic plate upper parts are cladded with layer of dielectric, whose lower edge is positioned below upper edge of circulation chamber. EFFECT: increased efficiency and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
