FIELD: industry. SUBSTANCE: water purification is exercised with the help of water treatment with suspension, produced by electric erosive dispersion of ferrous metals in water, keeping them in water until magnetite is formed, mixing it with purified water with following separation of sediment. Before the treatment, pH value of water, subjected to purification, is to be brought to 2.5 - 5.7 (better to 3.0 -4.5) and after mixing with suspension pH value of water is to be increased to 7.7 - 9.5 (better to 8.0 - 9.0 ). It is recommended to add chrome solution of 0.05 - 100 mg/l concentration into the water before its purification. To decrease consumption of reagents and provision of desalinization subjected to purification water or its part after sediment separation from it is recommended to electrolyze or to subject treatment in diaphragm electrolyzer with separate removal of anolyte and/or catholyte. In the case it is recommended to use anolyte for acidification of water fed for purification and catholyte - for water alkalization after mixing it with suspension. It is also recommend to mix part of anolyte with suspension before feeding it in purified water. EFFECT: method is used for industrial waste water purification. 4 cl, 6 tbl
