ELECTROCHEMICAL METHOD AND THE DEVICE OF THE CONTINUOUS OPERATION USED FOR THE WATER PURIFICATION Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC C02F1/46

Abstract RU 2305071 C2

FIELD: household activities; electrochemical industry; heat-and-power industry; food processing industry; light industry; other industries; methods and devices of the continuous operation used for purification of the drinking water.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of purification of the drinking water and may be used in the household activities and also applied for softening of the water in the heat-and-power industry, food processing industry, light industry and other industries, as well as for removal of the cations of the metals from the waste waters of the galvanic productions, the accumulator productions, tanneries and other productions, which waste waters contain such cations. The method of purification of the water consists, that the water under pressure is fed into the cathode camera of the three-chamber diaphragm electrolyzer, from which it together with the precipitated at the electrolysis hydrogen is routed through the diaphragm into the middle chamber. At that on the diaphragm the sparingly soluble compounds of the metals formed in the cathode chamber are filtered off. The device for continuous purification of the water contains the body including the running cathode and anode chambers with the electrodes separated from the middle chamber by the filtering diaphragms, the union of the water feeding for purification and ensuring its feeding into the lower part of the cathode chamber and used for the periodic discharge of the electrolyzer, the union for withdrawal of the purified water located in the upper part of the middle chamber, and the union of the drain located in the upper part of the anode chamber.

EFFECT: the invention ensures elimination of application of the reactants, simplification of the production process and the increased productivity.
