FIELD: peat industry. SUBSTANCE: in order to make the process less energy consuming, the claimed process for preparing peat-coal briquettes comprises mixing coal fines, peat and additives and molding briquettes. The coal is pretreated with an aqueous additive solution. The additive is lignosulfonate used in an amount of 4-16% by dry matter of the weight of coal fines at a mixture moisture content of 16-21%. The coal fines-to-peat ratio of 2: 1 to 1:2 by dry matter. The claimed process uses peat having natural moisture. EFFECT: improved properties of the peat-coal briquettes.
