FIELD: electronic engineering. SUBSTANCE: method of production of emission-type material for oxide- coated cathodes of electronic vacuum tubes and gas-discharge tubes consists in deposition of alkaline-earth metals from solutions of their nitrates in a mixed solvent of the following composition, percent by volume: dioxane - 10 to 20; water - the rest, and production of triple carbonate owing to it; source triple carbonate BaCO3:SrCO3:CaCO3=0,64:0,24:0,12 (mole fraction) is treated by a solution of the following composition: 0.4 M - strontium nitrate, 0.2 - barium nitrate and 15 to 20 percent by volume of 1.4-dioxane during 2 to 3 hours at 40 to 50 C.
