SUBSTANCE: cover 11 of barrel 4 has axial chamber 20 communicating with tubular valves through channels 21, 22, 23 with working and idle static chambers of barrel 4 and with accumulating chamber 9 of air-distributing device. This provides for additional supply of compressed air into barrel 4 which intensifies single blow energy and impact power of the hammer. Valves are provided with shock-absorbing seals 24 and 25 intended to suppress vibrations in channels of barrel 4 arising when valves are switched over to working and idle stroke of striker 5 in barrel 4. EFFECT: enhanced impact characteristics of hammer achieved by suppressing vibrations in air-distributing device and barrel channels. 2 dwg
