FIELD: fatigue tests of materials. SUBSTANCE: installation provides for testing the specimen not only under bending or torsional loads and, simultaneously, under bending and torsional loads but also under impact load and, simultaneously, under bending, torsional and impact loads, simultaneously, under bending and impact loads, and, simultaneously, under torsional and impact loads. The installation comprises a loading device in the form of inertia load, a passive specimen grip rigidly connected therewith, an active grip with stop, both grips being secured on the end of shaft mounted in bearings which are accommodated in bushings installed in casing slots and connected by brackets with pushers, a gear rack installed in guide and meshing with gear wheel secured on the other end of the shaft, two coaxial crank mechanisms linked with a drive. Connecting rods of said crank mechanisms are connected, respectively, with gear rack and pusher, and a device for creating an impact axial compressing load, linked kinematically with drive and comprising a striker with weights intended for interacting periodically with inertia weight, a power spring accommodated in a sleeve one end of which interacts with striker with striker while the other end abuts against the sleeve other end abuts against the sleeve bottom, and a crank mechanism intended for periodical compression of the power spring.
