FIELD: electrified transport; speed control of DC traction motors. SUBSTANCE: switching capacitor 8 is recharged over circuit: plus terminal of supply source - thyristor 5 - switching capacitor 8 - controlled switch 11 - reactor 12 - minus terminal of supply source. When voltage across switching capacitor 8 reaches the value required for switching, controlled switch 11 gets energized and energy stored in reactor 12 is transmitted to capacitor 3 as current flows along circuit: reactor 12 - capacitor 3 - diode 13, and energy from capacitor 3 is transmitted to additional load 4. Switching on of controlled switch 6 leads to turning off of operating thyristor 5. Switching on of controlled switch 6 makes it possible to decrease time of energy consumption by motor 1 which, at preset minimum voltage across motor, increases frequency of operation of converter. EFFECT: reduced mass-dimensional characteristics of filters, enhanced mass-dimensional characteristics of electric drive. 1 dwg
